This project involved creating an Ad Spot for a company with three distinct locations, which prompted me to choose REI, featuring a broad range of products they offer. As my first attempt at character rigging, I was initially challenged by the learning curve. However, I quickly found it enjoyable to create characters in Illustrator and bring them to life using After Effects. The choice of locations was based on the diverse array of products sold by REI, with an emphasis on showcasing one item from every category listed on their website. To convey a crisp and clean aesthetic, I employed a bright color palette and utilized flat vector illustrations throughout the video to maximize time-efficiency and make the animation applicable to a wide range of demographics.
