Diamond Harbour Chai Company is a chai company that offers traditional Indian tandoori chai through street vendors. In addition to selling chai in traditional clay chai cups they also offer chai tea blends and clay cups that can be purchased and used at home. Diamond Habour Chai Co. is focused on high quality authentic ingredients and traditional methods, this influenced my design choices .

To achieve this, I utilized linocut style illustration for the logo and all the packaging as on homage to vintage Indian stamps and matchbox designs. I also included art nouveau style boarders to acknowledge the colonial influence that took place in India, especially involving harbors and tea. This idea is also represented in the logo type as I used a hand drawn typeface like those of the colonial era. The color palette includes shades of spicy oranges and jewel-toned teals to evoke a feeling of richness that is often associated with the vibrant culture of India. I feel that the bright colors help the product appeal to a younger audience and prevents the dated elements of the design from making the brand as a whole feel out of touch. The logo depicts a traditional Indian Chai cup as well as the spices that make up the traditional masala chai blend. The spices are represented as both the spice and the plant or flower in the illustration to associate the brand with sustainable production and environmental consciousness.
